How to Prepare Brussels Sprouts in the Air Fryer

  1. While the air fryer is preheating, in a bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper to evenly coat.
  2. Pour the 1/2 cup of water into the bottom of your air fryer. This helps to steam the sprouts.
  3. Add the Brussels sprouts in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  4. Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 13 minutes, shaking the basket at least once halfway through, for even cooking.
  5. Once done, transfer the Brussels sprouts to a bowl and sprinkle with flakey salt before serving.

How to Serve and Store

  • Serve: These air fryer Brussels sprouts are best served immediately after cooking, while they’re still crispy. They make a great side dish for air fryer salmon, air fryer chicken breasts, roasted chicken, steak, or a vegetarian meal. You can also serve them as a snack with your favorite dipping sauce.
  • Store: If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, place the Brussels sprouts back in the air fryer at 350°F (177°C) for about 3-4 minutes, until they crisp back up.

Notes

  • Be sure to preheat the air fryer.
  • Cut the ends off of the Brussels sprouts and cut into halves or quarters.
  • Season with your favorite seasonings.
  • Avoid adding fresh garlic, as the garlic can easily burn in the air fryer at this temperature.
