Hello again! Glad you stopped by to share some more of this mountain living adventure with me. Today’s blurb is all about what happens “in between”. In between what, you ask? Well, here are some parameters that can encompass the “in between” that we’ll be talking about…
Origination/Destination. Point A/Point B. Here/There. Before/After. Work/Home. Birth/Death. You’ve probably heard the expression “life is not a destination”. If not a destination, then what is it? Many would say it’s a journey. But all journeys seem to start somewhere and end somewhere. Many people think that life starts with birth and ends with death. When you take a trip, you start at point A, go to point B, and (hopefully) end up back at point A again.
So when defining the “in between” we usually need a start and end point. And those starting/ending points are usually described using time and space (when and where). In terms of our thoughts…where are they usually? Either somewhere in the past (memories), or thinking about our future. In other words, where did this ride begin, and where will it end?
That human tendency to either dwell in the past or project into the future with our thoughts may be causing us to miss the most important part of life, ie the “in between”, or what can be called “the ride”. Life can be viewed as just one heck-of-a ride in the park! So I’ve been focusing more and more on just enjoying the ride of life. And now I’d like to share with you a little video I put together that emphasizes that “just enjoy the ride” attitude.

I got a kick out of “The Ride”. You must have taken this ride a few months back. I would imagine there’s snow in them there hills by now.
I enjoy the same pleasures where I live. I drove to town this morning and saw 15 bald eagles. The lake is just freezing over so the fog and frost were fantastic.
Thanks for the ride, love the view from there.

I have great memories of making the Storm Mountain drive with the ‘mountain man’ and two of my other brothers up to his cabin! Hope to do it again someday.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND THE BEST IN 2010
I enjoy riding bikes in your area… DOWNHILL!
Great ride from Glen Haven to Drake.
Curves, trees, river, and just enough slope to keep you moving along at a decent pace without too much effort.
Enjoy it!
That sounds like fun Mike! We’ll have to do that sometime when you get back from “vacation”!
Take care my man.
